1) What is the purpose of the Inter-Greek Council (IGC)?

The Inter-Greek Council (IGC) serves as a liason between the student Greek organizations and TCNJ's administration. IGC collaborates with TCNJ staff and student leaders to create new policies, advocate for Greek life, and design interactive and meaningful programs for Greek and non-Greek students to participate in. In short, we are the student governing body of TCNJ's Greek Life.

2) What is the difference between Panehellenic Council, Inter-Fraternal Council (IFC), and Unified Greek Council (UGC)?

- Panhellenic Council oversees the 8 Panhellenic Sororities only. This council is responsible for planning and executing formal Panehellenic Sorority recruitment every spring.

- Inter-Fraternal Council oversees the 11 men's social fraternities on campus. This council plans rush every fall and spring, writes social and risk policies, and plans programs to educate men and women about various campus culture issues.

- Unified Greek Council oversees culutrally based sororities and fraternities on campus. They plan "Meet the Greeks" and create many programs that focus on social and cultural justice.

3) When am I eligible for recruitment?

- You must have a GPA of 2.5 or higher

-If you are a freshman, you must wait until your second semester as a full time student.

- For additional questions, please see the "Chapters" Tab!

4) Is there designated on-campus housing for Greeks?

There is no formally recognized Greek housing on TCNJ's campus. This includes                housing that is run by Residential Education and Housing (dorms/ on campus                    housing) CampusTown, or off-campus houses that members of an organization                  lease for the school year.

5) If I join a Greek organization, will my academics suffer?

Not at all! In fact, recent studies held by The College show that students in Greek life have higher academic GPAs than those not in Greek Life. In addition, Greek  students are also more involved in non-Greek organizations that students that are not part of a Greek organization.
